Salary information: - Compensation Band: F4 - Internal Use Only - Salary range determined based on experience, qualifications, and market data - Competitive salary and benefits package offered - Opportunity for growth and advancement within the company Job Title: - Claims Specialist III - Management Specialty Lines Experience: - Minimum of three to five years of claims handling experience - Prior experience in directing defense counsel - Specific experience in management liability and specialty lines preferred Location: - New York City, New York Responsibilities: - Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate claims to successful resolution - Analyze coverage and provide comprehensive coverage analysis and claim resolution strategies - Provide timely and appropriate evaluation of claims and manage reserves - Deliver outstanding customer service and satisfaction through effective interactions with insured, agents, and legal counsel - Provide feedback on claim trends and development - Assist in the development, coaching, training, and mentoring of individual team members - Maintain current knowledge of applicable lines of insurance, regulations, court decisions, guidelines, and policy changes - Contribute to a collaborative environment by demonstrating teamwork and positive behavior - May perform other responsibilities as assigned Education: - College degree preferred - Juris Doctorate desired License/Certification/Designation: - Associates must acquire required licenses/registrations within designated time period - Additional licenses/registrations may be required for new products and services Skills and Abilities: - Demonstrates aptitude in evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information - Demonstrable expertise in specific line of business - Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills - Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively - Ability to work independently and direct attorneys in claims and litigation management Values: - Regularly and consistently demonstrates the Nationwide Values Job Conditions: - Overtime Eligibility: Not Eligible (Exempt) - Working Conditions: Normal office environment Nationwide is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
