This is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join our team in one of our offices in Columbus, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Portland, or Princeton.

Job Title: Associate: Intellectual Property (Health)
Department: Health Care & Life Sciences
Law Firm: Epstein Becker Green

Salary Information: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Full benefits package included.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in patent prosecution within the life sciences industry. Familiarity with technology transactions such as collaborations, licensing, outsourcing, and joint venture agreements is required. Experience in evaluating and managing patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios, performing IP due diligence for corporate transactions, and handling strategic commercial agreements is preferred.

Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Juris Doctorate degree
- Admission to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) required
- Admission to practice law in Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Oregon, or New Jersey is mandatory

Responsibilities:
- Conduct patent prosecution within the life sciences industry
- Handle technology transactions including collaborations, licensing, outsourcing, and joint venture agreements
- Evaluate and manage patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios
- Perform IP due diligence for corporate transactions
- Draft and negotiate strategic commercial agreements
- Conduct legal research and writing
- Represent clients in legal proceedings
