Law Firm Seeks Experienced Immigration Attorney - EOIR in San Antonio, Texas

The Matian Firm, APC is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney - EOIR to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. As an EOIR Attorney at The Matian Firm, you will work closely with our Sr. Associate Attorney and manage your own caseload. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of talented attorneys and legal assistants. We are looking for a team player who is open to helping and strategizing with their fellow associates.

Responsibilities:

- Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions to clients
- Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
- Manage a caseload of diverse immigration cases
- Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at centers
- Prepare and file immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
- Review applications and make necessary adjustments
- Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law
- Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations and determine the best course of action
- Prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony
- Provide legal analysis to determine potential benefits for clients
- Submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Qualifications:

- 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to move legal cases forward and manage a caseload
- Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
- Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred
