Job Summary:
- Assist clients of the Immigration Legal Services program as directed by DOJ Accredited Representatives
- Participate in and observe client/DOJ Accredited Representative interviews
- Complete required courses and trainings in immigration law to become a DOJ Accredited Representative
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Based in Pasco, WA with occasional travel to Spokane

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Respond to phone calls and emails from clients and persons seeking immigration legal services
- Assist in interviews with potential clients
- Provide assistance with completion of requirements to the Department of State
- Enroll in and complete all trainings and courses on immigration law and procedure
- Join meetings with the ILS consulting immigration attorney
- Shadow DOJ Accredited Representative during selected meetings with clients
- Assist clients in obtaining necessary documents
- Refer clients to other immigration service providers or agencies when necessary
- Identify clients' non-immigration needs and make appropriate referrals
- Assist with outreach and educational programs in the community
- Compile and make copies of documents and forms
- Prepare and process billings and other documents for services
- Collect and prepare statistical information for reporting
- Draft, edit, and proofread documents
- Ensure confidentiality and security of client information
- Report any suspicions of abuse or neglect according to agency policies
- Adhere to Catholic Social Teaching and Doctrine
- Work as a team to achieve productivity outcomes
- Perform related functions to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in the human services field
- Knowledge of immigration law and USCIS procedures preferred
- Must complete all training requirements and submit documents for accreditation within 6 months of employment
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Ability to adapt to changes and manage competing demands
- Analytical ability to maintain focus and complete research projects
- Attendance and dependability
- Working knowledge of computer software
- Interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Judgment and reasoning ability
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and oral
- Mathematical ability and motor coordination
- Problem-solving ability and quality management skills
- Ability to make prudent decisions and interpret instructions
- No supervisory responsibilities

Workplace Environmental Conditions:
- Exposed to moderate to loud levels of noise
