Duties:

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters with a focus on insurance coverage disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice to clients on complex insurance coverage issues.
  • Work collaboratively with other attorneys in the firm to develop case strategies.
  • Engage in all aspects of pre-trial discovery, including interrogatories, depositions, and document reviews.
  • Manage cases independently with minimal supervision, while also working in a team environment.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage matters preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with top 25% of class preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
  • Dual bar admission, particularly in Georgia, is a plus.
