Senior Lead Counsel I - Banking & Lending:

Salary Information:
- Salary range is $211, - $316,
- Compensation will depend on experience and qualifications

Job Title:

Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience in financial services
- Experience in banking or financial industry, with knowledge of related laws and regulations
- Familiarity with international laws, regulations, and practices in banking industry

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to the North America Lending business and support the Banking business
- Oversee and advise on legal and regulatory issues related to lending to individuals and various entity types
- Draft and maintain credit documentation for margin lending and other lending products
- Monitor transactions involving external counsel and ensure efficient and structured process
- Establish a basis for accessing collateral in the event of a client's insolvency
- Advise on consumer regulations for mortgage origination and servicing
- Advise on commercial terms and regulatory treatment of banking products
- Apply ethical judgement and escalate control issues as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends and internal policies

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree
- Bar license in good standing to practice law
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of banking regulations and international laws
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze issues and develop legal solutions
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
