Job Description

Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate to handle workers’ compensation claims in the state of Indiana. The individual in this role would be responsible for compiling and maintaining case files, adhering to court requirements, and acting as an advocate to our list of clients. The individual must be able to meet a monthly billable requirement and travel to courts throughout the state of Indiana.

- Gathering, analyzing and studying evidence
- Working for the client’s best interest no matter what obstacle is placed before you
- Meeting a monthly billable requirement

Requirements

- Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited university
- 1-5 years of workers’ compensation experience
- Administrative and managerial experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Skills of persuasion and negotiation
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong computer skills and competency
- Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
- Active member in good standing with the State of Indiana Bar

The individual in this role would be responsible for compiling and maintaining case files, adhering to court requirements, and acting as an advocate to our list of clients. You are asked to work for the client’s best interest no matter what obstacle is placed before you by gathering, analyzing and studying evidence. This job requires loyalty, problem solving skills and a desire to learn something new every day. The ideal candidate will have a background in both civil law and workers’ compensation law and must be able to meet a monthly billable requirement. This is a remote position that will require the individual to travel to courts throughout the state of Indiana. Travel to the Chicago office will also be required on an as needed basis.
