Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Atlanta office. Location:

  • Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of case development, strategy, and defense in general liability, trucking, cargo loss, auto accident, and premises liability matters.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials in state and federal courts.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda to support case strategies.
  • Conduct witness depositions, manage discovery, and coordinate with expert witnesses.
  • Analyze policy terms and litigate coverage disputes (experience in insurance coverage is a plus).
  • Advise clients on litigation risks, case strategies, and legal obligations while maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of litigation experience, particularly in general liability, trucking, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability.
  • Prior experience with federal court litigation is highly preferred.
  • Insurance coverage experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing.
  • Admission to federal court (or eligibility for admission) is preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), Westlaw, and time-billing software.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience with case management, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
