About the Role

As the Innovation and Technology Solutions Attorney, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our technology solutions are meeting the needs of our attorneys and clients. You will also provide updates and analysis on emerging technologies and industry trends to firm management and practice group leadership. This position can be based in our Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley office, and may offer a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced legaltech and general technology user who is passionate about emerging technologies and has a strong desire to learn and develop expertise in new technologies. The ideal candidate will have advanced technology or technology-adjacent skills, such as coding, product management, or design thinking, and a track record of innovating processes, products, or services. Other key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with practice group leadership and support teams to understand technology needs and develop strategies for improving efficiency
- Staying updated on new technologies that could impact legal services
- Identifying opportunities to integrate technology solutions into specific practices and coordinating pilot and proof of concept programs
- Communicating with third-party vendors and fostering relationships with industry organizations and innovation thought leaders

Qualifications include:

- Experience with scripting languages, front-end technologies, and database languages
- Minimum of four years of experience as a practicing lawyer or in a legal operations role
- JD or equivalent and admission to the California state bar
- Experience in a technology role, preferably in a law firm setting
- Completion of a software development or coding bootcamp is a plus
