A law firm is seeking a Corporate Services Senior Associate Attorney for its Portland location. The Corporate Services Senior Associate Attorney should possess extensive experience in Securities Reporting and M&A, preferably gained in a large regional or national law firm. The candidate must have a strong background in handling routine securities filings, merger & acquisition transactions, and other business transactions. Preferred candidates will also have experience with bank regulatory matters. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to communicate advice clearly to clients and colleagues. Strong analytical skills are essential, enabling the candidate to offer unique perspectives on complex issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills, along with stellar academic credentials. A license to practice law in the State of Maine is required.

 

Duties:

  • Handle Securities Reporting and M&A transactions.
  • Manage routine securities filings.
  • Assist with merger & acquisition transactions and other business transactions.
  • Provide legal advice on bank regulatory matters.
  • Communicate advice clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Offer unique perspectives on complex legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of corporate experience.
  • Extensive experience in Securities Reporting, M&A, and Bank Regulatory work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Stellar academic credentials.
  • License to practice law in Maine.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in Maine.

 

Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Securities Reporting and M&A.
