Counsel, Advisory Recruiting & Retention - CBRE is seeking a skilled attorney with experience in complex employment contracting or M&A to join their Legal team as Counsel. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work with executives and managers on sophisticated employment agreements and provide legal counsel on recruiting and retention issues. The successful candidate will have a . and be a member of an applicable State Bar in good standing, with at least 6 years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience. This role also requires strong drafting and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize requests in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with executives and managers to structure, draft and negotiate complex employment agreements with commissioned employees
- Provide legal counsel and guidance on employment issues related to recruiting and retention
- Advise on the structure and enforceability of restrictive covenants and protection of trade secrets and proprietary information
- Prepare and conduct training on compensation, restrictive covenants, and other employment issues
- Stay updated on changes in employment law and regulations
- Respond promptly to business needs while delivering high-quality legal services
- Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- . and member of an applicable State Bar in good standing
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant private practice and/or in-house experience
- Strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements and compensation formulas, with a preference for experience with executive agreements in the context of M&A and senior executive recruiting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong social skills and executive presence, with the ability to work with different leadership styles
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and drafting skills
- No ERISA or employee benefits experience required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship
