Quidel is searching for a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance team. This position can be located in San Diego, CA or Rochester, NY and offers competitive salary and benefits. Corporate Counsel (Transactional) - Provide legal support to a growing Vitro Diagnostics Company in San Diego, CA or Rochester, NY. 8+ years of relevant experience required in an in-house corporate role or at a national law firm with substantial commercial contracting experience. JD degree or equivalent required, with license to practice law in any of the 50 US states preferred from CA, NY, or NJ. Provides timely review and negotiation of various contracts and advises on structure with internal stakeholder teams. Supports procurement team and internal stakeholders on contract and vendor relationship questions and guidance. Responds to inquiries on contract interpretation and provides general legal support and training to internal stakeholders. Participates in legal department and business project meetings and supports fellow attorneys and compliance team. Ensures contract templates are updated and advises on legal issues and business risks. Collaborates with subject matter experts and identifies opportunities for process improvements. Develops and maintains legal knowledge in specialized area(s) and participates in policy and procedure development. Promotes and ensures compliance with company Code of Conduct and other policies and procedures.
