Job Description:

- Seeking a Mid-Level Patent Associate with a minimum of 2 years experience in patent drafting and prosecution at a firm or in-house.
- Must have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Experience with video processing and video codecs, including relevant standards for video encoding and decoding is required.
- Knowledge of virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus.
- This position can be based out of multiple offices, including Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Denver, Raleigh, or Salt Lake City.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge Base & Education:

- Minimum of 2 years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house.
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs.
- Familiarity with video coding standards.
- Experience in virtual/augmented reality and AI is a plus.
- Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus.
- Involvement with patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs is a plus.
- Admission to the USPTO is a plus.

- Starting salary for associate positions in the Denver office is $190,000.
- Pay is determined based on factors such as experience.
