Are you an experienced Associate Attorney with a background in plaintiff-side employment matters? Do you have a strong understanding of federal and state employment regulations and a passion for fighting for justice on behalf of employees? If so, we want to hear from you! Our law firm, located in Sacramento, CA, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team and help us continue to grow and succeed in the field of employment law.

As an Associate Attorney with our firm, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of employment cases, including class actions and individual disputes. You will collaborate with our clients, teams, and team leaders to develop and pursue cases, as well as conduct in-depth research and present and argue motions when necessary. Additionally, you will have the chance to actively participate in mediations and gain valuable experience in employment law class action matters.

We are looking for a self-starter with strong research, writing, and analytical skills, who is comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also have excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. If you have a JD degree from an accredited law school, active membership in the California State Bar, and 3-5 years of experience practicing employment law on the plaintiff side, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, teams, and team leaders on W&H cases, including class actions.
- Draft various legal documents for State and Federal Courts.
- Conduct in-depth research on relevant legal issues and present and argue motions.
- Oversee mediation and court approval processes for employment cases.
- Manage filing of pleadings and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Actively participate in select mediations and have opportunities for "second chair" experiences.
- Handle employment-related disputes and collaborate with HR departments and management.
- Develop employment policies and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

- Experience with PAGA, wage & hour, and class action matters preferred.
- Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 3-5 years of experience practicing employment law on the plaintiff side.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with expertise in all phases of litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
