Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Associate Attorney to join their dynamic and expanding Private Equity Finance Practice. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, and leveraged finance transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings and have the expertise to handle intricate legal matters within a highly collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on borrower-side private credit and acquisition finance transactions, including leveraged finance matters.
  • Manage and oversee complex financing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review loan agreements, credit documents, and other related legal contracts.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on structuring finance deals, minimizing legal risks, and maximizing business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive legal services in private equity and finance matters.
  • Represent clients in meetings and negotiations with lenders, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, financial regulations, and legal developments impacting finance law.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in borrower-side private credit, acquisition finance, or leveraged finance.
  • Strong background in sponsor-side private equity acquisition financings.
  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes financing transactions with attention to detail and legal strategy.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex finance agreements and credit documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

  • An active member in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of finance law, particularly in borrower-side and acquisition finance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
