Law Firm Seeking Personal Injury Attorney in Houston, TX

The Matian Firm, APC, a well-respected civil litigation firm, is currently seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join our team in Houston, TX. Our firm focuses on plaintiff's side personal injury and school/government liability cases. As an Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on case strategy and professional development, rather than being bogged down with menial tasks. We provide mentorship, support, and cutting-edge technology to enhance productivity and efficiency. Trial participation is expected and encouraged, but we will guide you through the process.

Responsibilities:

- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in litigation
- Prepare legal documents, including complaints and motions
- Draft meet and confer letters for discovery disputes
- Prepare clients for depositions and hearings
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend court appearances
- Negotiate settlements
- Conduct investigations for assigned cases
- Evaluate potential and current matters for early resolution

Qualifications:

- 1-4 years of experience in Personal Injury Law
- Strong background in Personal Injury Litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with CA State bar is required
- Workers Compensation experience is a plus
