We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced attorney with 7+ years of healthcare, commercial litigation, and white-collar defense experience. As a member of our Health Care practice group, you will represent medical professionals in professional board licensure matters, liability/medical malpractice cases, and employment lawsuits.

In this role, you will handle all aspects of healthcare litigation proceedings and provide legal advice to clients regarding relevant laws and regulations. You will also have the opportunity to develop and execute legal strategies, stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations, and take a lead role in certain healthcare matters.

H3: Responsibilities:

- Handle healthcare litigation proceedings
- Draft pleadings, conduct discovery and responses, motions, briefs, etc.
- Represent clients in court and arbitration
- Provide legal advice to clients regarding their rights and obligations under laws and regulations
- Develop and execute legal strategies
- Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations
- Take a lead role in healthcare matters
- Provide thorough legal research and analysis
- Review regulatory analyses by junior attorneys
- Manage matters from start to finish
- Backup support for other business units
- Identify legal and compliance issues and offer effective solutions
- Identify and escalate issues to Department Chair
- Demonstrate knowledge of general commercial and healthcare law
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

H3: Qualifications:

- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- NJ bar required, NY admission preferred
- 7 years' legal experience with a focus in healthcare
- Prior experience as a healthcare-centric prosecutor
- Experience in telemedicine, Medicare/Medicaid fraud, health reform issues
- Knowledge of confidentiality, informed consent, bioethical issues
- Highly motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Strong integrity, ethics, and judgment
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Exceptional communication, relationship building, mentorship, and influencing skills
- Team player with self and cross-cultural awareness
- Highly intelligent with a curiosity for complex legal and business issues
- Adaptable with the ability to reassess and adjust as needed
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court
