Job Overview: A law firm in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising lenders, investors, borrowers, and issuers in various leveraged finance transactions.

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on leveraged finance matters, including asset-based lending, private placements, unitranche financings, first lien/second lien arrangements, mezzanine financings, and leveraged and investment-grade lending transactions.
  • Conducted due diligence, drafted and negotiated transaction documents, and managed closings for various financing transactions.
  • Provide clients with legal analysis and strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues related to leveraged finance.

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the State Bar of North Carolina.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing leveraged finance law, preferably at a large law firm.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, banking regulations, and transactional structures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financial agreements and transaction documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
