A law firm in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Mid-Level Business Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of recent business litigation experience. The successful candidate will be licensed to practice in Arizona and will possess strong writing skills, excellent academic credentials, and experience in managing cases independently. This role involves handling complex commercial cases, preparing pre-trial motions, and supporting lead attorneys in various litigation stages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review fact patterns and provide accurate analysis and recommendations.
• Effectively analyze legal issues and develop case strategies.
• Serve as second chair for complex cases or first chair for simpler cases.
• Assist lead trial attorneys with pre-trial issues, including case evaluation and witness preparation.
• Prepare and draft complex pre-trial motions and motions for summary judgment.
• Independently manage small to moderately complex commercial cases with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and take depositions, including complex testimony.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including organizing and maintaining case files.
• Demonstrate breadth of experience in various substantive areas of business law.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
• Adapt to new legal topics and case developments as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree with excellent academic credentials.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Arizona.
• 3+ years of recent business litigation experience from a law firm.
• Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.
• Experience with preparing basic litigation documents and managing cases.
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Effective negotiation skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and matter management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Arizona State Bar and in good standing.
