As a Senior Attorney, you will play a crucial role in enforcing state laws and administrative rules related to healthcare professions. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience. Remote assignments are available in various investigative field office locations including Pensacola, Alachua, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Tampa, and Orlando. This position is open for two months and will be used to fill vacancies as they occur in the Prosecution Services Unit.

Responsibilities:

Independently prosecute violations of state laws and administrative rules by licensees of the healthcare professions regulated by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
Review case files, develop legal opinions, and prepare probable cause recommendations including administrative complaints and closing orders.
Present cases before healthcare licensure boards across the State of Florida.
Represent the Department before the Division of Administrative Hearings and in circuit court.
Manage an inventory of cases to ensure timely resolution in accordance with statutory requirements.
Timely respond to public records requests, inquiries from counsel, and from other agencies regarding current cases.
