Job Title: Renewable Energy and Energy Transition Transactional Associate Department: Business Law-Finance (Energy) Experience: 4-8 years Salary Range: $290,000 - $420,000 Foley & Lardner LLP, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a highly qualified associate with 4-8 years of experience to join our Renewable Energy and/or Energy Transition development and finance practices. This position is available in our San Diego, Los Angeles, or Houston offices. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in renewable energy and/or energy transition matters, specifically in areas such as solar, wind, storage, hydrogen, carbon, and renewable fuels. Strong experience in complex development and finance transactions, including equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, and negotiation and drafting of project documents is required. The candidate should also possess excellent drafting and project management skills. Our energy practice is rapidly growing and we are looking for a dynamic and motivated associate who is comfortable working with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams across different offices. The candidate should also have the ability to interact directly with senior attorneys and clients. A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role. Fluency in Chinese is a plus. To be considered for this position, the candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member of the California State Bar or Texas State Bar.
