Summary: The Matian Firm, a premier law firm in Chicago, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney for an Associate position with room for growth. This is a great opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and further their career with an established firm. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney and work alongside a team of professionals to provide excellent legal services to clients. Responsibilities: - Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions - Represent clients in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals - Manage a caseload and interact with clients - Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers - Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions - Review and make necessary adjustments to immigration applications - Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on changes in immigration law - Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategies - Prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony - Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits - Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases Qualifications: - - Team player with excellent interpersonal skills - Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred - Record of moving legal cases forward and managing a caseload - Experience with various immigration applications, including Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and USCIS applications - Familiarity with Case Management Software preferred Salary Information: The pay range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
