The Gori Law Firm is a premier law firm specializing in asbestos litigation. With offices in multiple states, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality legal representation to our clients who have been diagnosed with asbestos-related diseases. We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney for our New York office.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a competitive salary based on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and 401(k) benefits, as well as paid time off and holidays. We also value continuing education and provide opportunities for our attorneys to attend CLE courses.

As an Associate Attorney, you will report to the Supervising Attorney and be responsible for conducting depositions, developing and responding to discovery, communicating with clients, researching and drafting motions and briefs, and overall case work up for asbestos-disease cases. You must have 2-4 years of attorney experience, with mass tort, personal injury, or asbestos experience preferred. Additionally, you must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York, with licenses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania preferred.

We are looking for a self-motivated, well-organized individual with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You must also be able to problem solve and strategize, as well as have a strong sense of compassion for our terminally sick clients. Our ideal candidate is adaptable and responsive to client needs based on their health status.

As an Associate Attorney, you will assist the Supervising Attorney with case work up and motions, conduct client and witness interviews, depose witnesses and clients, and appear in court as needed. You will also assist with Plaintiff’s discovery preparation, return and respond to client and defense counsel communication, and gather and analyze information from various records. Additionally, you will delegate assignments to our team of paralegals and legal assistants.
