The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Managing Attorney to join their team in Washington . This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of immigrant children and their families, while working with a dedicated team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and develop a team of two Staff Attorneys, a Social Worker, a Case Support Associate, and a Volunteer Coordinator
- Work with program staff to develop advocacy strategies and review work product
- Coordinate with Deputy Program Directors to ensure alignment with program approach and best practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including government field staff, facility staff, legal service providers, and immigration judges
- Coordinate hiring and training of new staff in Washington .
- Ensure compliance with funding and program requirements
- Produce accurate and timely data management for monthly reports to government and private funders
- Foster a supportive and collaborative work culture

Requirements:

- . and license to practice law
- 4+ years of experience working with immigrants and/or children and youth
- 1+ year of management experience
- Strong legal analysis, negotiation, and mediation skills
- Commitment to interdisciplinary model and child-centered advocacy
- Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders
- Leadership, team building, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technology
- Bilingual ability in English/Spanish or other languages spoken by the population served
- Valid driver's license and access to a car

- Background or interest in immigration law, juvenile law, or other areas impacting children
- Understanding of trauma and trauma-informed approach to advocacy
- Comfort with public speaking and media communication

- Ability to travel by plane, car, and other conveyances within the .
