Job Summary:

The Senior Paralegal for Safety & Insurance Litigation, Special Matters will play a crucial role in supporting in-house attorneys in managing litigation and claims arising from Uber's insurance policies. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with experience in defense firms or insurance companies. The Senior Paralegal will also be responsible for project management and process improvement to ensure efficient execution of matters.

Responsibilities:

- Consult and assist attorneys in handling general liability litigation, including mass torts
- Respond to requests from outside counsel and insurers
- Review, analyze, and respond to tort litigation in the United States and Canada
- Conduct complex data analytics in a time-sensitive and confidential manner
- Project manage across the Special Matters team to ensure efficient execution of matters
- Identify and implement process, reporting, and document enhancements to improve workflow
- Maintain resources for the team, including project scope, deadlines, and reporting
- Collect, process, and analyze ESI and deliver processed data and reports in a timely manner
- Prepare discovery documents for review and production by internal and external counsel
- Analyze discovery for responsiveness, relevance, and objections
- Manage files, including fact investigation and preservation

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of paralegal experience in a defense firm or insurance company
- Experience in file and portfolio management
- Familiarity with eDiscovery systems and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working on general liability matters and mass torts
- Ability to review and organize litigation documents in complex legal matters
- Proven ability to track complex projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional partners
- Technical proficiency with computer skills, including Google suite, Excel, Word, Adobe, Box, and other web-based applications
- Self-motivated and strategic problem solver
- Excellent business judgment and communication skills

Salary Information:

- Base salary range: USD$110,000 - USD$122,000 per year
- Additional compensation and benefits may be available, including performance bonuses, equity, and benefits.
