A law firm seeks a talented and driven Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join its Business Litigation practice group in Phoenix, AZ. This position is ideal for an attorney with 4 to 8 years of experience in commercial litigation, including substantial motion and trial experience. The successful candidate will have strong advocacy skills and a proven ability to manage complex litigation matters. Experience in construction litigation and established ties to the Phoenix area are a plus.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including pre-litigation strategy, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Handle and argue motions in court, including dispositive motions and motions in limine
  • Participate in all aspects of trial preparation, including case strategy, evidence preparation, and witness examination
  • Advise clients on business-related disputes, including contract disputes, shareholder issues, and tort claims
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on high-stakes cases, providing strategic input and drafting legal briefs and motions
  • Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods
  • Maintain and develop client relationships by providing exceptional legal advice and services
  • Manage multiple litigation cases, ensuring timely and effective case resolution
  • Stay updated on legal developments and changes in commercial litigation law

Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in commercial litigation, with substantial trial and motion practice
  • Expertise in business and commercial law, including contract disputes, business torts, and shareholder actions
  • Strong experience with pre-trial procedures, discovery, and motion practice
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills, with a commitment to mentoring junior attorneys
  • Construction litigation experience is preferred
  • Established ties to the Phoenix area is a plus
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona and in good standing

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Arizona

Skills:

  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills, including the ability to argue motions and present at trial
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters with efficiency and professionalism
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing client relationships and working within a team
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience with legal technology and case management tools
