About the Role:

RSM is seeking a Tax Manager to join our expanding tax practice in Federal Credits & Incentives, with a focus on research and development. This role provides an opportunity to join a high-performing tax practice and work with a leading provider of accounting, tax, and business consulting services.

As a Tax Manager, you will use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services needed in RSM's growing Washington National Tax office. You will consult with clients and client engagement teams, generate thought leadership content, and liaise with Treasury, IRS, and Capitol Hill to monitor developments. You will also play a key role in developing client service offerings and tools, ensuring a focus on tax quality and client service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Consulting with clients and client engagement teams
- Generating thought leadership content
- Monitoring developments and liaising with Treasury, IRS, and Capitol Hill
- Leading internal knowledge sharing and training
- Developing client service offerings and tools
- Ensuring a focus on tax quality and client service excellence

Requirements:

- 5-7 years of continuous recent public accounting experience
- Experience working for a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
- CPA license or JD required
- Extensive subject matter expertise in Federal Tax Credits & Incentives, with a focus on research and development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information and tax laws
- Strong research and technical writing skills
- Proficient use of technology, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, BNA, etc.
