Law Firm Seeks Midlevel Commercial Litigation Associate

Venable LLP is an American Lawyer Global 100 law firm headquartered in Washington, ., with offices in California, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, New York, and Virginia. The firm is currently seeking a midlevel associate with at least four years of experience to join the Commercial Litigation Group in the Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills;
• Outstanding academic credentials;
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills;
• The ability to work well in a team;
• The readiness to take on significant responsibility in Venable's cases;
• Prior law firm experience (preferred);
• A juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school;
• Admission to and good standing with the relevant jurisdiction’s bar.

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

• Supporting commercial litigation activities, including complex commercial litigation;
• Participation in marketing and business development activities, including client pitches and presentations.

The salary range for associate positions is $205,000 to $365,000 per year, depending upon associate level.
