Cyber Claim Counsel

Key responsibilities:

- Analyze, investigate, and resolve cyber claims with moderate supervision from claims management.
- Prepare and present reports for management on loss development, financial exposure, and claim strategies.
- Retain, monitor, and manage outside counsel for litigation management.
- Communicate with underwriting on significant claim exposures.
- Identify and coordinate recovery opportunities with Recovery Management Unit.
- Travel to attend mediations, settlement conferences, and other claim-related events.
- Strengthen policy interpretation and coverage analysis skills.
- Negotiate settlements and review releases and settlement agreements.
- Support underwriting marketing efforts and provide educational materials on relevant laws.
- Monitor marketplace conditions and provide research for underwriting and claim decisions.
- Obtain and maintain required adjusters' licenses.

Requirements:

- Five or more years of relevant legal or claim handling experience.
- Ability to work through conflict and resolve issues professionally.
- Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, customers, and business partners.
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate degree.
- Properly licensed and in good standing to practice law.
- Two years of relevant legal experience.
