Job Responsibilities

As a Wills, Trusts and Estates Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the administration of an estate on behalf of the decedent, executor, and beneficiaries. You will also draft estate planning documents for clients, ensuring that the interests and wishes of the client are carried out in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards. Specific duties include:

Communicating with clients, beneficiaries, attorneys, and other parties involved in the administration process
Utilizing Westlaw for legal research purposes
Drafting legal documents such as trust agreements, amendments, and distribution plans, wills, POA, healthcare directives
Writing detailed reports on the financial status and performance of each plan/estate/trust

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

A Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
Proven experience in legal research; familiarity with Westlaw
Strong knowledge of trust law and estate planning principles
Excellent people skills, including written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Salary and Benefits
