A law firm in Houston is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to provide counsel to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills and will be responsible for advising clients on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other employee benefits matters.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel employers on all types of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.
  • Advise clients on retirement plans, including 401(k) plans, pension plans, and profit-sharing plans.
  • Provide guidance on health and welfare plans, including health insurance, dental insurance, and other employee benefits.
  • Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other legal documents.

  • Communicate effectively with clients and provide timely advice and guidance.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • 5+ years of experience practicing employee benefits law.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Significant experience counseling employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans.
