Law Firm Seeking Experienced Litigation Associate Specializing in Bankruptcy Ice Miller, a prestigious law firm with over 350 lawyers in offices located in Baltimore, Columbus, Chicago, DuPage County, Illinois, New York, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, and Washington, ., is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced litigation associate with a focus on bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with 3-6 years of experience to join a busy and growing bankruptcy practice with a mix of litigation and transactional work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Bankruptcy Code, local rules, UCC, and secured transactions. Responsibilities: As a litigation associate at Ice Miller, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency-related cases in state and federal courts. You will be responsible for taking depositions, arguing motions and contested matters in the courtroom, and receiving training opportunities with increasing levels of responsibility. Additionally, you will collaborate with other practice groups and offices, work in a small office atmosphere with the resources of an Am Law 200 firm, and have opportunities for advancement in a collegial environment. Ice Miller also allows for remote work two days per week, providing a flexible and accommodating work environment. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have significant experience in motions practice, contested matters, and/or adversary proceedings. They must be able to think quickly and respond well under pressure in court. Candidates should also have experience in taking or assisting with the preparation of depositions, strong research and writing skills, and excel in a team environment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in developing relationships both internally and externally, have experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds, and be highly motivated and self-driven. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as outstanding law school credentials and references, are also required.
