Duties
- Oversee personal injury cases from start to finish, including case intake, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Develop and implement strategic legal plans based on a thorough understanding of personal injury law and the local legal environment.
- Draft and respond to motions, utilizing advanced legal knowledge and creativity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates and high-quality legal counsel.
- Prepare and present compelling arguments in court, demonstrating exceptional trial skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely case progression and effective resource management.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in litigation, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex personal injury cases.
- Prior experience with jury trials, including the ability to confidently represent clients in court.
- Strong background in personal injury litigation, with preference given to those with plaintiff-side experience.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona (additional states like Texas, Colorado, or New Mexico a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of managing multiple high-stakes cases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal processes clearly to clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar in Arizona (or other states, as applicable).
Skills
- Expertise in drafting and responding to motions, with an understanding of procedural law.
- Proven ability to take and defend depositions.
- Strong knowledge of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
