## Associate Attorney

Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP ("Perdue Brandon") is a law firm providing collection services and related legal representation to government entities in Amarillo, Texas. We are looking for an energetic attorney who is goal-driven, willing to learn, and who works well with a team to join our Amarillo office.

### Job Description

The Associate Attorney will work closely with partners, clients, colleagues, and staff on collection and litigation activities. This position offers a Professional Development and Mentorship Program and opportunities for those whose goal is partnership. Essential duties include:

- Suit preparation and review, motion practice, discovery, large caseload management, and substantial trial work in District Courts and courts in the surrounding counties
- Title examination, including mineral titles
- Providing clients with opinions and advice on legal issues
- Managing and maintaining current firm clients
- Local travel required

### Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

- Familiarity with collection of ad valorem taxes and other governmental receivables, open meetings, public information act and other law applicable to local government entities
- Title examination experience, including mineral titles
- Bankruptcy experience
- Excellent writing and research skills
- A strong work ethic, organizational skills, inter-personal and social skills, and be a self-starter
