Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee administration of global trademark portfolios for Koch Industries
- Conduct availability searches and handle assignments and transfers of trademark ownership
- Assist attorneys with trademark oppositions, cancellations, and litigations
- Protect and maintain copyrights for Koch's products, websites, and software systems
- Research enforcement matters and draft cease and desist letters
- Prepare and file documents with USPTO and WIPO
- Communicate with outside counsel and Koch team members to track deadlines and generate portfolio reports
- Compile information for portfolio reviews and maintenance filings
- Create and maintain electronic files for IP matters and oversee document destruction
- Optimize work processes and initiate transformation across assigned responsibilities

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience with trademark clearance searches
- Understanding of IP terminology
- Familiarity with US and Foreign trademark and copyright office procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

- Associate's degree or higher
- Experience with USPTO document preparation and filing
- Experience with docketing and workflow systems, document management systems, and e-billing systems
- Prior in-house IP paralegal experience
- Patent experience
- Experience with global trademark portfolios
- Experience with AI tools and legal front door technologies
