Law Firm is seeking a Major Felony Attorney Manager to join their Management Team.

The successful candidate will be a zealous and competent advocate for public defense clients. They will possess knowledge and familiarity with Multnomah County criminal defense practice and have a reputation for modeling professionalism within the legal community.

This role will include supervising, supporting, and advising major felony attorneys, assisting attorneys to resolve professional conflicts, creating co-counsel opportunities with minor felony attorneys, and working with the management team to troubleshoot emerging issues.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting weekly attorney caseload check-ins, conducting annual performance reviews, creating training opportunities and collaborating with other defense practitioners to build training resources, participating in stakeholder meetings, and carrying a FTE caseload of felony cases.

Qualifications:
• Membership in the Oregon State Bar
• Zealous and competent advocate for public defense clients
• Works well with others collaborating, coordinating, and problem solving
• Major Felony certification with OPDS
• Knowledge and familiarity with Multnomah County criminal defense practice
• Reputation for modeling professionalism within the legal community

Responsibilities:
• Supervise, support, and advise major felony attorneys
• Assist attorneys to resolve professional conflicts
• Create co-counsel opportunities with minor felony attorneys
• Work with management team to troubleshoot emerging issues
• Conduct weekly attorney caseload check-ins
• Conduct annual performance reviews
• Create training opportunities and collaborate with other defense practitioners to build training resources
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, including manager meetings, attorney meetings, and monthly defense bar meetings
• Carry a FTE caseload of felony cases
• Create opportunities for attorneys to second chair cases

Compensation:
• Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance provided

• Salary starts at $72, and increases depending on experience
