Paralegal The candidate will provide management with efficient legal administrative support with business issues, policies, rules, and regulations of the construction industry. Assist with professionally drafting legal documents, agreements, and contracts pertaining to the business of the company. Assist with ensuring that all documents and proposals of the company are strictly in compliance with the rules and regulations issued by governing agencies. Assist with preserving and prosecuting claims of the company. Assist with defending the company against any and all asserted claims. Provide administrative support regarding legal matters to all departments on a variety of legal issues, including but not limited to construction, insurance, regulatory, collection, and employment issues. Multi-task in a diverse and fast-paced environment. Interact with vendors, clients, and staff in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner. Collect, review, and verify lien releases for vendors. Process project close-out documents. Execute special projects as directed by the Vice President of Legal Affairs. Should have a high school diploma or equivalent plus a Paralegal degree or certification from an American Bar Association-approved program; 3 years of previous experience in related paralegal, legal assistant, or legal support services in a law firm or in-house legal department. Should have previous experience in the construction industry. Bilingual – read/write both English & Spanish fluently (preferred, not required).
