Position Overview: Title: Land Use Associate Industry: Land Use Office Location: Los Angeles, CA Job Req.#: 872 Department: Land Use Group Responsibilities: - Use legal expertise and strategic insight to assist clients in obtaining entitlements, permits, and approvals for complex and sensitive projects - Collaborate with developers, property owners, investors, public agencies, and nonprofits - Stay informed on land use issues and trends and help shape the communities we serve - Handle matters related to land use, administrative law, zoning, affordable housing, and environmental regulations such as CEQA and the California Coastal Act Requirements: - Three to five years of solid land use experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Detail-oriented with excellent legal research and analytical abilities - Proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently and develop creative solutions - Active membership in the California Bar Diversity and Inclusion: At Manatt, we value diversity, equity, and inclusion and believe it is essential to our success as a firm.
