We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our team at McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC. As a leading law firm in the state, we provide quality and cost-effective legal services to financial institutions throughout the Eastern United States. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Georgia and applicable Federal bankruptcy courts. They should have a minimum of three years of experience representing creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters and be proficient in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and conducting case law research. Experience in Chapter 11 and adversary matters is a plus. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review motions for relief from stay for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13s, objections to Chapter 13 plans - Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors and debtors' attorneys - Review and interpret all documents (legal & otherwise) including deed of trusts, notes, assignments, property title, dockets, pleadings, etc. - Handle appearances and all aspects of creditor representation with minimal or no supervision - Conduct legal research and stay up to date with bankruptcy laws and regulations Requirements: - Minimum of three years of bankruptcy experience representing creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters - Admitted to practice and in good standing in Georgia and all federal bankruptcy courts - Admitted to practice in other states a plus - Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research - Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize high volume workload - Excellent leadership skills - Excellent communication and organization abilities At McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC, we value excellence, integrity, honesty, and respect.
