A law firm in St. Louis is seeking a qualified Energy Regulatory Associate Attorney with 4-5 years of experience in energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle regulatory and compliance matters before state energy regulatory commissions and organizations such as ERCOT.

 

Job Details:

  • Handle regulatory and compliance matters before the Texas Public Utility Commission and other state energy regulatory commissions.
  • Work on matters involving the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) or other ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.
  • Advocate before state utility commissions and be involved in power transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, power sales, and related matters.
  • Utilize experience in energy transactional and regulatory litigation and compliance.
  • Articulate legal strategies and courses of action effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to achieve objectives.
  • Handle multiple projects with superior judgment.

 

Requirements:

Active Bar license in the state of Texas.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Experience:

4-5 years of experience in energy transactional and/or regulatory litigation and compliance.

 

Skills:

  • Experience handling regulatory and compliance matters before energy regulatory commissions.
  • Familiarity with Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and ISO/RTOs or organized power markets.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Superior judgment.
  • Ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.

 

Certifications:

Active Bar license in the state of Texas.
