Job Overview: A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning and Probate Attorney to join its growing practice in the Oklahoma City Metro area. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support in estate planning and probate matters while offering expert guidance to clients during key life decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in probate law, a client-focused approach, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload in a collaborative environment.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on estate planning and probate matters, ensuring legal documents reflect their wishes.
  • Represent clients in probate court appearances and manage hearing preparations.
  • Conduct client consultations, offering legal solutions tailored to individual needs.
  • Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, using relevant software.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and manage case progress.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and support staff to meet deadlines and ensure the efficient management of cases.
  • Track and manage billable hours for all assigned cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and probate law.
  • Proven ability to handle a full caseload while maintaining excellent client relationships.
  • Strong legal writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in managing billable time and working within deadlines.
  • High level of initiative, ability to work independently, and strong collaboration skills.
  • Proficient with legal software, including Wealth Counsel and Elder Counsel.
  • Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the Oklahoma State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in estate planning and probate law.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in legal drafting software and computer literacy.
