Salary Information The salary for this position ranges from $199,500 to $275,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Title Commercial and Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney – Vice President, Assistant General Counsel Experience At least 5 years of chapter 11 bankruptcy experience Responsibilities Provide expert advice and guidance on commercial and consumer bankruptcy matters Review and approve legal documents Partner with key internal stakeholders to implement legal strategies Manage, oversee, and advise on bankruptcy cases Form and develop effective legal strategies to mitigate legal, operational, and financial risks Provide legal support to Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) bankruptcy and recovery operations Advise on bankruptcy legal issues and act as a trusted advisor to the business Develop and enhance bankruptcy recovery activities and controls Ensure compliance with bankruptcy legal requirements Partner with business and corporate function groups to provide analyses of changes in law Assist in reviewing and revising business policies and procedures to ensure compliance Partner with business and technology teams to create or enhance applications/systems Provide support to strategic initiatives and special projects Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups on changing legal requirements Support CCB Litigation in handling contested bankruptcy matters Assist with preparation for council meetings and other meetings Conduct comprehensive and in-depth research on bankruptcy laws, regulations, and precedents Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Compliance with all relevant licensing requirements 5+ years of chapter 11 bankruptcy experience Strong knowledge of complex bankruptcy legal framework Knowledge of bankruptcy legal issues and regulatory requirements impacting creditors Ability to prioritize and interact effectively with senior management Preferred Qualifications Regulatory or compliance experience Experience working with bank regulators, bankruptcy trustees, or the Office of the United States Trustee Salary Information The salary for this position ranges from $199,500 to $275,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
