Summary:

The Legal Aid Society is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Economic Equities Project to join their Civil Practice team in New York City. This individual will supervise various units within the Civil Practice, including the Consumer Law Project, Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, Foreclosure Prevention and Home Equity Preservation Project, and Community Development Project. The Director will also be responsible for client representation, intake coordination, legal strategy development, community education and outreach, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of legal practice with a specialization in consumer law, experience in various forums, excellent litigation skills, and a demonstrated commitment to public interest law and civil legal services. The salary for this position ranges from $148,960, depending on qualifications and collective bargaining agreements.
