Position Summary:

The Law Firm is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Regulatory Associate Attorney to join our team. This is a partnership track position for an associate attorney admitted to practice in an applicable state. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulatory law and legal practice, as well as strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain membership in state bar and complete all required Continuing Legal Education requirements on an annual basis.
- Follow ethical requirements as set forth by the Rules of Professional Conduct of the state and comply with all requirements of the firm’s professional liability insurer.
- Perform discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.
- Review and analyze newly assigned and existing matters in order to provide legal representation until the matter is concluded.
- Draft all necessary documents to provide legal representation to clients and route them through the appropriate office procedures to produce final documents.
- Conduct necessary legal research and analysis of the law on complex issues.
- Write briefs for submission to a supervising lawyer in the firm using various methods, including libraries and computer data systems.
- Formulate and issue well-founded legal opinions to clients.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding the status of their matter.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Extensive knowledge of SCC regulatory law and legal practice in order to perform substantive legal functions in client matters.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 100 percent of work time.
- Strong analytical skills necessary to conduct complex and detailed analysis of legal matters.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate by e-mail and telephone with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
- Willingness to travel to private and public buildings locally and statewide via private or public conveyance to attend to client needs on legal matters.
- Flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Education/Experience:

- degree.
- Member of applicable state bar (or have an expectation of becoming a member).
