Job Overview: A prominent, AV-rated, nationally recognized law firm in Phoenix is seeking a skilled Business Litigation Attorney to join its Litigation team. The firm offers an exceptional work environment, with stunning 25th-floor offices and a private terrace, all located near Osborn and Central. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years (senior level) and will be involved in a variety of business litigation matters. This role will also provide some support in basic transactional work, such as software or employment agreements.

Location:

• Phoenix, AZ

Duties:

• Manage case workup, client meetings, and correspondence with other attorneys
• Draft and argue pleadings, conduct discovery, including depositions
• Provide litigation support in business-related disputes, including partnership disputes, business divorces, trademark infringement, breach of contracts, and more
• Handle claims related to breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, conversion, and breach of covenant of good faith and fair dealing
• Collaborate with clients from day one to develop strategies and provide legal counsel
• Occasionally assist with basic transaction work, such as drafting and reviewing software and employment agreements

Requirements:

• 5+ years for a senior-level attorney
• Member of the Arizona State Bar
• Prior business or transactional experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong legal research, drafting, and litigation skills
• Ability to handle a variety of business litigation matters
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong academic background or prior work experience in business or accounting may be considered a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Arizona State Bar (required)

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities
• Experience in business litigation, including partnership disputes, breach of contracts, and other related matters
• Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously
