A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a skilled Labor Attorney with a strong background in labor law and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in employment/labor law, including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, and union campaigns. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor degree and must be licensed to practice law in the state of residence.
Duties:
- Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in labor law matters, including but not limited to labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining negotiations, and union campaigns.
- Conduct legal research, and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations related to labor law issues.
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, briefs, motions, and contracts about labor law cases.
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings, hearings, and court trials related to labor disputes.
- Collaborate with clients, other attorneys, and legal support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence.
- Continuing licensure for law practice must be maintained during employment.
- Completion of formal studies in labor law is preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in labor law/employment law, focusing on labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, and union campaigns.
- An outstanding academic record is preferred.
