The ideal candidate will have 1-10+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting, with a preference for labor and employment experience. However, candidates with general civil litigation experience will also be considered.

As an Associate Attorney at O’Hagan Meyer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the firm’s established team of litigators and diverse client base. This position offers significant opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm.

In addition to a strong emphasis on legal work and excellent service, O’Hagan Meyer also prioritizes preventative counseling and a results-oriented approach to litigation. Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct legal research and provide analysis and advice to clients.
Draft legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, and motions.
Represent clients in court and other legal proceedings.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the case.
Attend depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Manage a caseload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the firm.
Participate in firm meetings and trainings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Admitted to the California Bar.
1 – 10+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
Preference for labor and employment experience, however general civil litigation experience is welcome.
Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
Experience with client counseling and advocacy.
Knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
Familiarity with federal and state court systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: $115, – $190, per year.
