Summary:

The Gurstel Law Firm, . is seeking a Commercial Legal Assistant with experience in civil litigation and knowledge of Creditors Rights Laws. This full-time regular position, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, offers a competitive salary range of to hourly, as well as benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401k. The ideal candidate will have a legal field certificate or 2-year degree, with experience in civil litigation and creditors rights laws. This position may require up to 5% travel, excluding local commute.

Responsibilities:

- Complete complex legal tasks and support staff functions in all states in which the Firm operates.
- Assist in preparing files, including reviewing, drafting, filing, and serving legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Follow, create, and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate the Firm's core values in interactions with co-workers, attorneys, clients, the courts, and consumers.
- Perform tasks.
- Enter legal data accurately and efficiently.
- Handle client inquiries with excellent customer service skills.
- Multitask and prioritize deadlines and commitments.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Be a self-starter and motivated team player.
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Extract information from the firm's software to create reports or summaries for managing attorneys and/or the Director of the Department.
- Type at least 50 words per minute.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
- Bend, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Legal field certificate or 2-year degree (experience may be substituted for education).
- Background in civil litigation required, background in Creditors Rights Laws preferred.

Travel:

This position may require up to 5% travel, excluding local commute.
