A law firm is seeking a Junior-Mid Level Benefits Associate Attorney in Austin, TX.

Job Overview:

The firm seeks a detail-oriented individual with 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements. Experience supporting benefits and compensation in M&A, ERISA litigation, and withdrawal liability is a plus. The candidate must possess excellent writing, oral advocacy, communication, and legal analysis skills.

Duties:

  • Provide legal support and counsel on qualified retirement plans, health & welfare plans, and executive & deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Assist in benefits and compensation matters in M&A transactions.
  • Handle ERISA litigation and withdrawal liability issues.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including agreements, memoranda, and correspondence.
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • 2-4 years of benefits experience in private practice.
