Summary:

- AmeriCorps is seeking a Legal Assistant for their Access to Justice Project in partnership with LawNY® in Jamestown, New York.
- This is a 6 month or 1 year contract position that offers a living allowance of $1,000 bi-weekly, an educational award of $3, - $6,, and other benefits.
- The Legal Assistant will provide intake and screening services for low-income individuals seeking legal assistance, recruit and support volunteers, assist staff attorneys, and work with community agencies.
- Applicants should have at least two years of college or equivalent experience, and prior experience working with low-income individuals is preferred.
